Wristshelf connects directly to the Audiobookshelf server you configure. It has no developer-operated account service, advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

Connections and credentials

Your server receives sign-in requests, media requests and listening progress. If you enable Cloudflare Access service authentication, the configured service credentials accompany requests to that origin. The server operator and any access provider control their own logs and retention. Ask your server administrator about their privacy practices.

Access and refresh tokens and optional Cloudflare credentials are stored in the watch's Keychain. For compatible background downloads, watchOS also manages the authenticated transfer request and a scoped Cloudflare cookie when needed. Custom Cloudflare service credentials are confined to the app's guarded foreground requests; they are not sent as native background headers. Password input is cleared after sign-in. The server address, account identity, library metadata, cover art, saved audio and listening history are stored in the app's local account directory. They are not sent to a Wristshelf-operated service.

HTTPS and certificate validation are the defaults. Choosing HTTP transmits requests without transport encryption. The optional certificate exception disables server-identity validation for the configured origin.

Listening and storage

Playback checkpoints and listening totals are sent to your configured server to support resume across devices. Offline changes remain locally until synchronization can be attempted. Download and streaming-cache data remain on the watch. Storage capacity is displayed locally and is not uploaded.

Deleting a download removes its saved audio and keeps listening progress. Confirmed sign-out removes that account's local content and saved credentials, including any unsent progress after the warning shown in the app. It does not delete the Audiobookshelf account or progress already stored on the server.

Children and curated libraries

The app uses the signed-in Audiobookshelf user's permissions. A parent or administrator manages access on that server. Offline devices cannot discover new permission changes until they reconnect and receive authoritative catalog data.

Support

Do not include passwords, tokens, private server addresses or children's listening details in public bug reports. Submit a sanitized issue through the repository where you obtained Wristshelf. Operating-system diagnostics and distribution services are governed separately by their providers.

This policy describes the source version in this repository. Distributors modifying the app or adding services must update its policy and disclosures.

This website and support email

This static website has no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts or cookies set by Wristshelf. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and operate its service. Sending an email shares your email address and message with support and its email provider. Send only the information needed to resolve your issue.
